Life in Hawaii through the perspective of the plate lunch. The Plate Lunch as served by Honolulu Mark is a mixed plate metaphor for the way people, their stories and their food, come together on one plate to make Hawaii paradise. Honolulu Mark has returned home to his Hawaii roots but eats, shoots and leaves extend to my second home, Seattle.

Eat the Street August 2011
The Eat the Street theme this month is Spicy. One of my favorites was the Angry Pinoy Dog from Flip't Out Eats (@fliptouteats). Here in the photo above is a Spanish roll stuffed with a sausage topped with spicy pork. Sweet butter roll meets savory pork. These pinoy dogs are about the size of a Mexico City taco so it's just the right size for a quick bite. The Pinoy Dog may be angry but it made me a happy foodtruck fan.
