Made in Hawaii: Aquaponics for a crowded island

Living on an island where they have paved paradise and put up a parking lot has it challenges. Hawaii imports most of its' food but there is a movement for growing sustainable agriculture.

One small part of the sustainability movement is in aquaponic gardening. Essentially, aquaponics allows you a grow a garden full of veggies in a tight footprint. Imagine a full, lush garden in your backyard or even on your high rise lanai. That's where a vertical aquaponic garden could come in handy, right?
