Life in Hawaii through the perspective of the plate lunch. The Plate Lunch as served by Honolulu Mark is a mixed plate metaphor for the way people, their stories and their food, come together on one plate to make Hawaii paradise. Honolulu Mark has returned home to his Hawaii roots but eats, shoots and leaves extend to my second home, Seattle.

Pic of the Day: Sugar Rush by Nino
Nino Yuniardi is a man of many talents. He's an amazing percussionist, artist, user experience designer and friend. He's also a loving father who says his 4-year daughter is the muse that inspired his latest collection, Sugar Rush, now showing at Trophy Cupcakes in the Wallingford Center.
The giclee prints on watercolor paper are indeed playful and fun, a world seen through the eyes of a young girl whose dad and mom are both accomplished artists. In "My Whale," Nino tells the story of his daughter pretending to be fishing in their Seattle backyard and catching a whale. He also features bright, happy food images such as "Brunch," "Shrimp Tempura" and, in the foreground above, "Green Tea Ninja." Find out more about Nino on his gallery site.
