'It’s Not You, It’s Your Books'

The essay It’s Not You, It’s Your Books by Rachel Donadio in last Sunday's NYT comes coincidentally with my playing with LibraryThing, the online book collection cataloging/social networking site that, among other things, connects you to other "people with eerily similar tastes." I loved it when she wrote:

"We’ve all been there. Or some of us have. Anyone who cares about books has at some point confronted the Pushkin problem: when a missed — or misguided — literary reference makes it chillingly clear that a romance is going nowhere fast. "

So, at the risk at disenchanting any friends, family or other readers, I have posted my LibraryThing collection on this blog. It's a work in progress and just the kind of book geeky thing to do if reading is as much a part of your life as, oh say, eating, drinking or sleeping.
